dia de los muertos

November 1st is known as Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) or "All Souls Day".  I figured I would head down to New Orleans and see if I could find anything spooky going on to photograph.  Didn't find much going on for it but still had a great time!

A few friends and I went down to Lafayette, LA this weekend to check out the Black Pot Festival at the Acadian Village in Lafayette, LA.  It showcased zydeco and an assortment of folk music as well as a Cajun food cooking contest.  I had an amazing time!

Went down to New Orleans to check out the annual Red Dress Run. It was quite a sight.

I finally had the opportunity to go down to New Orleans to photograph some of the cemeteries that are spread throughout the city. I found them to be very unique and full of personal expression for lost loved ones.

tillou baptist annual 4-wheeler ride

Just a few pics of the Tillou Baptist 4-wheeler ride before we headed out to the mud holes. Over 700 people attended and there were 200+ ATV's.
